Mariano García is a saxophonist with a passion for music in all its facets of interpretation and pedagogy.

He currently teaches a Master’s degree in Performance at the Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya (Esmuc-Barcelona) and is a professor at the European University of Saxophone in the summer courses in Gap (France).

He teaches at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón (Csma-Zaragoza) from 2009 to 2020 and is Master Professor at the Luca School of Music in Leuven (Belgium) from 2018 to 2023 and at the Wiener Akademie Musik (Vienna) from 2018 to 2023.

He has been invited by numerous international universities and conservatories to give masterclasses and concerts, including the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels, the Birmingham School of Music, the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Cologne, the University of Ljubjana Slovenia, as well as advanced courses all over the world. as advanced courses all over the world: China, Poland, Mexico, Italy… Since 2022 he teaches at the International Music Course in Benidorm.

He is a regular jury member at the most prestigious international saxophone competitions, such as the Dinant Sax Competition, Andorra Sax Fest, Temsig Slovenia, Josip Nochta Zagreb, among others.

Since 2015 he has collaborated regularly as a teacher and performer with the Musethica project, with which he has given more than 50 concerts as a soloist and with the Chamber Orchestra of the Auditorium of Zaragoza ‘Grupo Enigma’.

In 2010 he formed the chamber duo AniMa DUO with the pianist Aniana Jaime, with whom he has recorded four CDs: ‘Sculptures’ (IBS 2014) with transcriptions of great chamber music works, ‘Ritmo en el Espacio’ (Delicias discográficas Zaragoza 2015) with first recordings of contemporary Spanish composers, ‘Homage’ (IBS 2020) with recently created works already established in the repertoire, some of which are dedications, and ‘L’éveil d’AniMa 2025’, where they make a compilation of the three previous titles, including transcriptions, original repertoire and a world premiere recording of a work by Vincent David. He has also taken part in several recordings that extend the saxophone repertoire: Kevin Houben’s saxophone concerto, works by Jesús Villa-Rojo and Agustín Charles.

He is a Selmer and Vandoren artist.
